GrabChair vs OpenTable, Resy and Tock

All four take reservations online. OpenTable, Resy and Tock also sell access to their diner apps, and their prices reflect it. GrabChair is the reservation system for guests you already have: your page, your floor plan, one flat monthly price.

Competitor prices are from their public US pricing pages and guides as of October 2026 and can change; Resy and Tock now sell a combined lineup, both owned by American Express. GrabChair pricing is simply ours: 30 days free, then $30 a month per restaurant with every table and cover, the live floor map and the host screen included; deposits cost only card processing at 3.4% + 30¢ all-in.

OpenTable

The biggest diner network in North America, and you pay for it: every seated guest who booked through their app costs $1 to $1.50, forever. If your tables fill from your own name, Google and Instagram, those covers are expensive rent. GrabChair never charges per guest.

Resy

Polished and backed by American Express, with no per-cover fees, but the subscription starts around $289 US a month. If you want the Resy crowd it can be worth it; if you want reservations, deposits and a floor map, GrabChair does it for $30.

Tock

Built for prepaid, ticketed dining: tasting menus, wineries, events, with 2% to 3% kept on prepayments. GrabChair takes deposits per reservation too, at card processing cost only, and never a cut of the meal.
